The Vermont River Corridor and Floodplain Protection Program has partnered with the Northwest Regional Planning Commission, the Addison County Regional Planning Commission, and the FEMA Region 1 office to host two half-day training sessions on the basics of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). There is no cost to attend the training; both sessions are open to everyone.

  • Wednesday, April 5 [agenda], 12-3 p.m., St. Albans Free Library; RSVP to Taylor Newton (524-5958 or tnewton@nrpcvt.com; and
  • Thursday, April 6 [agenda], 12:30-4 p.m., Addison County Regional Planning Commission’s conference room (Middlebury); RSVP to Rebecca Pfeiffer (rebecca.pfeiffer@Vermont.gov).

Both sessions will hopefully be approved for Continuing Education Credits for Certified Floodplain Managers (most likely for 3 credits).
